Who You Love

My boy he ain't the one that I saw coming
And some have said his heart's too hard to hold
And it takes a little time but you should see him when he shines
Because you never wanna let the feeling go
When you love who you love, who you love
You'll love who you love, who you love
Yeah you'll love who you love, who you love
Oh you can't make yourself stop dreaming of who you're dreaming of
If it's who you love then it's who you love

That first dance

As I dance with you...

Time stood still,
Melting into your embrace,
My world is in heaven,
Simply divine, cheek to cheek,
For I wish, the song never end.

That first dance, lest me forget, but cherish.

Start of Something Good

You never know when you're gonna meet someone
And your whole wide world in a moment comes undone
You're just walking around then suddenly
Everything that you thought that you knew about love is gone

You find out it's all been wrong
All my scars, don't seem to matter anymore
Coz they lead me here to you

I know it's gonna take some time
But I've got to admit
That the thought has crossed my mind
This might end up like it should

I'm gonna say what I need to say
And hope to god that it don't scare you away
Don't want to be misunderstood
But I'm starting to believe that
This could be the start of something good

Everyone knows life has its ups and downs
One day you're on top of world
And one day you're the clown

Well I've been both enough to know
That you don't wanna get in the way when its working out
The way that it is right now

You see my heart; I wear it on my sleeve
Coz I just can't hide it anymore
I know it's gonna take some time
But I've got to admit
That the thought has crossed my mind
This might end up like it should
I'm gonna say what I need to say
And hope to god that it don't scare you away
Don't want to be misunderstood
But I'm starting to believe that
This could be the start

Coz I don't know where its goin'
There's a part of me that loves not knowin'
Just don't let it end before we begin
You never know when you're gonna meet someone
And your whole wide world in a moment comes undone
I know it's gonna take some time
But I've got to admit that the thought has crossed my mind
This might end up like it should
I'm gonna say what I need to say
And hope to god that it don't scare you away
Don't want to be misunderstood
But I'm starting to believe that
This could be the start of something good

A Thousand Years

Heart beats fast
Colors and promises
How to be brave
How can I love when I'm afraid to fall
But watching you stand alone
All of my doubt
Suddenly goes away somehow

One step closer

I have died every day waiting for you
Darlin' don't be afraid
I have loved you for a
Thousand years
I'll love you for a
Thousand more

Time stands still
beauty in all she is
I will be brave
I will not let anything
Take away
What's standing in front of me
Every breath,
Every hour has come to this
One step closer

I have died every day
Waiting for you
Darlin' don't be afraid
I have loved you for a
Thousand years
I'll love you for a
Thousand more

And all along I believed
I would find you
Time has brought
Your heart to me
I have loved you for a
Thousand years
I'll love you for a
Thousand more
One step closer
One step closer

I have died every day
Waiting for you
Darlin' don't be afraid,
I have loved you for a
Thousand years
I'll love you for a
Thousand more

And all along I believed
I would find you
Time has brought
Your heart to me
I have loved you for a
Thousand years
I'll love you for a
Thousand more

A song for Phillip, Peter Yau and Jimmy.

Seasons of Love
by Rent

Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes
Five hundred twenty-five thousand moments so dear
Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes
How do you measure, measure a year?

In daylights, in sunsets
In midnights, in cups of coffee
In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife
In five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes
How do you measure, a year in the life?
How about love?
How about love?
How about love?
Measure in love
Seasons of love
Seasons of love

Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes
Five hundred twenty-five thousand journeys to plan
Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes
How do you measure the life of a woman or a man?

In truths that she learned
Or in times that he cried
In bridges he burned
Or the way that she died

It's time now, to sing out
Though the story never ends
Let's celebrate
Remember a year in the life of friends
Remember the love
(Oh, you got to, you got to remember the love)
Remember the love
(You know that love is a gift from up above)
Remember the love
(Share love, give love, spread love)
Measure in love
(Measure, measure your life in love)
Seasons of love
Seasons of love
(Measure your life, measure your life in love)

Phillip, Peter, Jimmy..
I miss you dearly, and wish you were never gone.
But God loves you more, glad you are with Him all along.

Happy, that I am...

Was on the way to Penang, and listening to 80s music. Stuck with you by Huey Lewis and the News were playing and I thought of you.

Yes, it's true
I am happy to be stuck with you
Yes, it's true
Ah I'm so happy to be stuck with you

I sure hope you feel the same too :)

No name

Every now and then I see a part of you I've never seen
Birds can swim and fish can fly
The road is long
I wonder why

One of these days you'll realize
What you mean to me
Ohh-hh, every now and then I see a part of you I've never seen

Every now and then I try to tell you just how I feel
Heavens talk, the rain begins, the sky turns black
Nobody wins
Well, I try to talk but I can't
My soul has turned to steel
This happens every now and then when I try to tell you just how I feel

So if you ever love somebody
You gotta keep them close
When you lose grip of their body
You'll be falling
'Cause I'm falling
Deeper in love
In love

A 19-year old, Ryan O'Shaughnessy auditioned for Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon on Saturday's Britain's Got Talent (March 31 2012) show with a love song he penned about a girl he has been in love for 6 years.

I Corinthians 13 (NIV)

13 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

In this giddiness & lightness of heart...

I'm not that far with falling in love with who you are,

I could get lost in this, forgetting what caution is...

subconsciously...

I am afraid to lose you
and
never feeling the rest of my whole life
the way I feel when I'm with you

I Like You

It's like a little piece of heaven
When you stay
You make me feel like it's all
Okay
And now I know that the sun
Will only shine
When the clouds go away
Cause that's how you make me feel
That's how you make me feel today

And you're like a little piece of candy
On my tongue
You're so much
Fun
And I flip like a butterfly
With one look in your eyes
That's how you make me feel
That's how you make me feel tonight
And I think I like you
And I think you like me too

Lets keep dreaming and wishing
This way
Grown ups don't take enough time
To play
Love, and so, it matters at the end of the day
That's how you make me feel
Thank you for making me feel this way
And I think I like you
And I think you like me too

So this is how being in love feels...

“Falling in love is like getting hit by a truck and yet not being mortally wounded. just sick to your stomach, high one minute, low the next. Starving hungry but unable to eat. hot, cold, forever horny, full of hope and enthusiasm, with momentary depressions that wipe you out.

It is also not being able to remove the smile from your face, loving life with a mad passionate intensity, and feeling ten years younger.

Love does not appear with any warning signs. You fall into it as if pushed from a high diving board. No time to think about what's happening. It's inevitable. An event you can't control. A crazy, heart-stopping, roller-coaster ride that just has to take its course.”

3 years & more later...

Reading back my old posts and wondering if it was really all me.
Sounds like a different person, yet familiar.

Blogs are like a relic.

Soon it will be embracing the fate of writing letters or sending a card.

Who still read this ol' blog of mine? Give me a holler, if you do and out there.
